Parade, Saxton Gardens, Leeds

EnviroSips Ltd were engaged as Principal Contractor to carry out replacement cladding works at Saxton Gardens Leeds. The full building envelope was covered in high pressure laminate cladding that had failed the MHCLG fire testing. In  addition the existing backing wall structure required enhancement. ESL provided a robust redesign which incorporated MGO covering of the existing insulated structure, a new carrier system, fire breaks open and closed state to floors, compartmentation positions and all apertures through the façade. The cladding was replaced with none combustible aluminum cladding which was through fixed to match the original appearance. The project was the first reclad scheme carried out in West Yorkshire, therefore became the “pilot scheme” for the new “HSE management of fire replacement façade works” and inspected by WYFRS for the duration of the works. Routine rigorous and intrusive inspections were carried out by Building Control and Premier Guarantee who placed a system warranty on the building at completion.
