Broadcasting Place, Leeds, UK

Winner of the 2010 Best Tall Building In The World overall award by the CTBUH, Broadcasting Tower forms part of the spectacular redevelopment of the former BBC studios in Leeds City Centre. Rising to over 69 metres in height from the low level teaching blocks and church to 23 levels accommodating 240 bespoke student accommodation units, Broadcasting Place is the largest building to use a Sips backing wall and a Corten rainscreen system. The buildings succeed on many levels addressing city and urban design, respect for surrounding heritage and a richness of architectural design.
